March 22 Sex and Search resultsOkay, I'm guilty. I've not been around My Live space for a long time, mainly because of the three, yes, the three times they've changed and updated the service which had a detrimental effect on the popularity of the blog; it killed it basically because people couldn't find the site with the old addresses properly.
Anyway, I was just looking at my stats and noticed another hit from Baidu search engine, not to unusual except the search term being used was "sex double". Huh?! How on earth has one of my blog entries come up under that criteria? Well it appears one of my previous entries about a toy gun 'spurting' (man)goo seems to be the culprit entitled as it was "Sex and Double Standards" - mangoo is bad, but mangoo being spurted from a (toy)gun is good, get it?! Yay for gun loddyists in the US of A. Serious sexual double standards. It's no wonder the entry got the (1) hit for it! *sigh* September 15 Black and White baby!I was reading something the other day (on MSN I think) about Micheal Jackson which showed an image of him doing his infamous 'baby over the balcony' episode when it suddenly hit me; "why is that baby WHITE?!".
I know MJ allegedly has a skin disorder (and not bleached Ed.) that effects the pigment of his skin which in effect 'bleaches' it (rather than turning 'white' it's actually being leached of any colour), but that baby it WHITE, as in the kind of white you get when you have a white mother and a white father.
Apparently MJ's skin condidtion hasn't been passed to his kids, or at least won't manifest itself until they are much older, so, if MJ is supposed to be the biological father why is the baby white, it (can't remember if it's a 'he' or a 'she') should be coffee coloured at least; I know becasue I am!.
You can't mix black and white like that and get white - unless the baby has some genetic 'defect' present - am I missing something here? I thought MJ bonked that woman and paid her to have his child (that's what their short relationship and her financial renumeration resulted in), if not what's going on? Is there foul play of the very foulest going on here?
Not being a MJ 'fanboy' I'm sure some MJ nutjob will correct me.... at some point. August 20 Another film I forgotUnleashed : A Jet Li film and although it got some crits for it being set in some gritty metropolis in the UK, that to my mind actually added to the story. The only thing for me which let it down was that everyone knew Kung Fu; "What are the chances of that happening, hmmmm" to paraphrase one of our comedians, that to me more than anything - the fact that Jet Li's character had an affinity with pianos (which *is* later explained) didn't raise any eyebrows, nor the fact that you couldn't quite make out how 'old' he was supposed to be, the intimacy the girl in the film wanted from him was kind of at odds with his characters age - none of that really irked as much as all the fighters being experts in Kung Fu; would it not have been more interesting to see Jet mobbed by the badguys a-la dirty fighting and all that, after all this is the land of the football hooligan!
7/10 (gave serious thought to pushing it to '8' because it had Morgan Freeman, and Brit fav, Bob Hoskins in it) Private PartsI note with interest the increasing number of spaces that are 'private' and not viewable to the general blog reading public, they still show up in the Spaces listing mind you so it does make you wonder what they're doing; hiding trade secrets perhaps? Discussing nefarious bank job plans or perhaps simply wanting to chat without being bombarded by trackback and comment spammers.
Films watched recently
The Descent : Really plays on peoples fear of the dark and tight places. It was described as a 'horror' movie but even they have some context in which the gore is shown, Descent seemed to linger on the blood squirting a few seconds too long (30 seconds of blood gushing is a bit excessive) as if they were purposefully trying to make you gip. The irony is that had they not done that it would have been a good film that really played to those two common phobias.
If you saw Dog Soldiers then you'll know the look and feel of this new film as it directed by the same guy apparently (not double checked this yet). Overall a decent film, would have been better without the obvious gore.
6/10 August 19 What's a girl to do?!I've not bought a replacement chair yet so I'll add an observation about it breaking for now; back ache!
It's amazing how much difference having the resistance created by the spring makes on your back, just enough to keep you upright without forcing you into a locked position. I'm still annoyed at having to throw out a complete chair just because of a spring! It's well past it's warrenty by the way so it can't be fixed like that without costing a more than a new chair.
